geek in the pink
so ends the annual (monetary) blessings that my relatives shower on me so that i can smile upon my bank account book like it were a joke book.
on tuesday had a great time at rachel's house with fruit basket! there was this huge shared garden in front of her house in which we played (or tried to, in my case) vball. bad idea cos the ball found its way to the rooftop of rachel's neighbour's house, and superman nicholas had to climb onto rachel's roof and walk across 3 roofs (rooves?) to get it. naughty sherman. i mean ball.
we had a garden dinner on a wooden bench under the light of a lampost, and by 7.30+ i was beginning to mistake my potatoes for chicken. and rachel's an UBERRRR cook! we had devil's curry, chap chai (?) and... RICE. all cooked by rachel. dessert was tiramisu, which was heavenly. rachel made it, by the way. she'd better make it again. HAHA
watched some of "little britain", and laughed till my tiramisu almost came up. then went to the playground where i swung the swing! missed those things since my playground got renovated.
nic inevitably played superman AGAIN by flying off the swing. LOL. ok ok not his fault the swing broke. but he was swinging so high he was (we were) counting the number of leaves he could pluck of this tree using his 2 feet. we never managed beyond 3. luckily for him he landed on some bushes. his wrist got swollen though, quite bad :P
scary. one minute the man of steel was swinging alongside me picking leaves. the next he was gone, the swing was broken and there was chaos. gave him an ice pack to reduce the swelling. get well!
today was at vivo. we shopped around for verine's shoelaces and bigben's green cap, which was non-existant. shared a merlion at ben&jerry's while trying to MAKE ben wear the pink shirt. HAHA. fengyun rachel and i created this huge hulabaloo to get him to wear it. in the end i lured him with a treat at pepper(s)lunch, quote quote.
that got it!!!! after 7 long days of my hard work he wore his lovely shirt at this ulu place near boon keng mrt. yes! ben in PINK!!!
i can hereby declare myself the impossible do-er.
